Farm & Forest

Our pastures, waters, paths, and historic farmstead are open for you to enjoy seven days a week from dawn to dusk.

Retreat Farm is a public common where everyone can connect to the land and one another.

The Farm’s fields, forests, waters, and all that they contain sustain and inspire us.
Today, the historic farmstead serves as a platform for community-advancing events and programming.

Please Note: Dogs are welcome at the Farm! Dogs must be leashed at all times, and we ask that you do not approach the animal enclosures with your pets. Thank you!

Visit Animals on Pasture

Visit Isaac the Ox, Sassy the Donkey, and the Retreat Farm and Big Picture Goats on pasture.

Want to get up close and personal with the animals? Book a tour!

For the health and safety of our staff and animals, please do not touch the electric fences or feed the animals on pasture.

Explore the Forest Playground

Build, play, balance, and splash in the stream as your imagination runs free in this shady grove.

The Forest Playground is a perfect detour from the Nature Trail and serves as the starting point for the Storybook walk. With a mud kitchen, jumping stumps, and loose parts for building structures and forts, it’s the perfect place to explore the natural world.

Discover the Storybook Walk

Let the story unfold as children search for the next page on this short winding trail.

With a new book each season, you can come back regularly to discover land-based stories that highlight diverse voices.
