The Farm to Ballet Project returns to Retreat Farm for a fourth season to celebrate the rich farming culture of Vermont.

Set on a grassy stage, the full-length production explores the relationship between farmers and land, natural food cycles, and the human role in ecosystems.
Dancing vegetables, familiar animals, and even the seasons themselves come to life through dance in a joyful and entertaining show.
Come early and visit animals on pasture, walk the Hope Garden labyrinth, explore the forest playground, and discover the historic interpretive path and creative play areas.
All proceeds will directly benefit the Community Food Project at Retreat Farm. Through our Community Food Project we are growing vegetables and meat to alleviate hunger in our region. Last year, we harvested more than 10,000 pounds of vegetables and pastured meat, helping to feed over 1,600 community members. This year we are cultivating 2 acres of diversified row crops, as well as pastured layer chickens, goats, pigs, and sheep. Vegetables and meat we harvest will be distributed through a weekly Free Farm Share and a Pay What You Can Farmstand. Surplus seasonal vegetables will be distributed to the Vermont Food Bank, the Westgate public housing complex’s food pantry, and the SUSU commUNITY Farm’s Box of Resilience for BIPOC families.
