Experience a traditional winter game played by Abenaki and other Indigenous nations. Join the Atowi Project and Retreat Farm for the Snow Snake Games at the Retreat Meadows. Wazôasisa’s (snow snakes) will be provided, or you can bring your own. This winter pastime played during periods of prevalent snow, consists of a track of mounded and packed snow on which players slide their wazôasisa (snow snakes) and compete for distance records.
