Volunteer Spotlight: Betsy
A familiar face to many, Betsy Gentile, is an active volunteer across the community helping to bring the missions of countless nonprofits to life. This year we’re incredibly grateful to have Betsy as our Lead Volunteer for the Hope Garden.
What drew you to the Hope Garden?
There are three things I’m passionate about — family, gardens, and farms. In these strange and trying times, helping to create a beautiful space for recreation and reflection is not only exciting, it’s fulfilling. So, when there was an opportunity to lead the volunteer efforts for the Hope Garden, I said yes!
How can others get involved at the Farm?
Whether you want to volunteer once, or on a regular basis, there are new opportunities to get involved at the Farm. You can join me in the garden, help spruce up the Forest Playground, maintain the trails by joining the Friends of the Retreat Trails, or share your love for Retreat Farm by becoming a volunteer docent.
